Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Sacramento is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We drive to this location from Tahoe every time. Well worth 2 hour drive. If you know what gyro in Europe looks like, this is the closest youβll ever get. We tried multiple places in the area, and this one is the best hands down. Everyone who works there is super nice.

Hands down one of the better gyro places in Sacramento! I stop by here for lunch sometimes and always order the chicken plate. It comes with salad, rice, hummus, tzatziki sauce, and a pita on the side, and everything is always fresh and flavorful. The chicken is seasoned really well and the portions are great too. The staff is friendly and the food is consistently good every time Iβve gone.

The place is really nice with seating looking out the window. The owner was very friendly. The place is clean. I ordered the Meat Platter, very flavorful and fresh. What caught my tastebuds was the unique hummus. Most of the time hummus is smooth, but here it was chunky. I think this made the whole platter stand out, with its unique pizza-style bread which was toasted. And the slight hint of Tzatziki sauce in each bite made the experience unique. The owner said the meat they serve is Halal except the Cheese burger.

Large amount of food, average taste/quality and still pretty expensive. Shared 1 veggie gyro + 1 lamb gyro combo meal w can of coke + fries = $28. Smashed falafel in the veggie gyro didn't have any crispy edges but tasted okay. Lamb tastes like most I've tried in the city--bland and a little dry. Soft, mealy fries. I did like the fluffy bread. Polite guy at the counter. Bathroom had soap and water and paper towels. Sorry to say the most memorable part was how sticky the counters and tables were. The day a gyro/doner restaurant in Sacramento cooks on a spit and shaves it to order will be the day I rave about the meat.

5 Stars β Absolutely Phenomenal Lamb Steak Plate! I had lunch at Ace's Gyro Shack today, and let me just sayβthis was one of the best lamb steak plates Iβve ever had. From the moment the plate was served, I could tell I was in for something special. The lamb steak was perfectly grilledβtender, juicy, and bursting with rich, savory flavor. It had just the right amount of char to give it that smoky, mouthwatering aroma without overpowering the natural taste of the meat. Every bite was a masterclass in how lamb should be cooked: succulent inside, seared outside, and seasoned to perfection. The plate came with a generous portion of fluffy, aromatic rice that soaked up the lamb juices like a dream. The pita bread was soft and warm, ideal for scooping up the meat and rice together. And letβs not forget the tzatziki sauceβcreamy, refreshing, and garlicky, providing the perfect cool contrast to the bold flavors of the lamb. What really sealed the experience for me was the attention to detail and freshness in every component. Even the side salad was crisp and vibrant, not an afterthought like at so many other spots. The staff were friendly, efficient, and clearly take pride in what the
